Remote Desktop Services decent alternative

Hi,
I was wondering if there was a decent alternative to Microsoft Remote Desktop Services on Linux? I am not talking about all these cloud based solutions. I mean a real solution, on premise, to run on 30-40 vms running Linux.
I am using Citrix over Microsoft VMs right now.
Thanks a lot.

Your request is completely contradictory. On the one hand, you’re talking about on-premise, not cloud-based solutions, and on the other hand, you’re using software from companies that are leaders in such technologies.

As long as you don’t feel it necessary to describe your project a bit better, without including keywords for other companies and their products, we won’t have long, in-depth discussions about such topics. I’ll move it to the tech-talk section to keep it alive and to serve as an example.

I’ve been active in this community for a long time, and it’s becoming increasingly apparent to me that, just as we’re working on releasing a new Fedora Linux version, we should be dealing with such nonsense that we really don’t want to.

We are a FOSS community and want to stay that way.

The citrus-sounding company you mention has its own solutions for what you’re looking for and what you’ve written in the title.

Please refrain from injecting keywords into this community that promote products or marketing and SEO practices we have nothing to do with.

I personally would put this topic in the category of “grey hat SEO.” If anyone needs more information, please read about it on the dedicated Akismet site.
