Remote Desktop

TigerVNC can create headless VNC sessions, but it requires Xorg.

GNOME Remote Desktop can work with Wayland/Xorg in 2 different modes:

  • Desktop Sharing - user service that allows to share already running seat-based sessions with RDP/VNC.
  • Remote Login - system service that can start new headless sessions with RDP.

You may need to use a different client as they are not equally compatible.
