Recent files sometimes do not load in file picker (KDE)

Hi,
sometimes when I click the Recent files tab on the file picker in an app, it’s loading forever and doesn’t show anything. It also spikes one CPU core up to 100%. Sometimes I can fix it by click another tab, like Home, and back to Recent files, but sometimes even this does not help.
However in Dolphin it always opens with no problem.
Anyone else having this problem?

Have you tried switching to eg. Home and back to Recent files a couple of times? Does it always fail for you?

always, never seen it working

Same here after update to Fedora 41. Super annoying. Any ideas how to fix it?

/usr/libexec/kf6/kioworker /usr/lib64/qt6/plugins/kf6/kio/recentlyused.so recentlyused this process is stuck on 100% for me
