There is really nothing much I can add here.
Dolphin is just not remembering the last open pages I had last time.
It happened on both computers where I last updated their software.
It may have happened after the last Kernel update?
Hi - this is being tracked upstream in the KDE Bugtracking System: 502770 – Dolphin does not restore open tabs when "Show on startup" is set to "Folders, tabs, and window state from last time"

Since this problem is being tracked upstream (and I guess it has been a minor bug which caused this, maybe by oversight) I am just gonna flag this issue as “solved” even if, right now, the problem isn’t already solved, because this forum here doesn’t seem to be the correct place where this problem should be discussed.
