Missing Icon after upgrading to Fedora 41
After upgrading to fedora 41 , my show applications is missing the icon for vscode . It was there before the upgrade. Anybody facing this icon missing problem. Any help is appreciated

I just encounted same issue with Fedora 41.
I’ve looked over the .dektop files and found that the missing icon desktop files has Icon with extension xpm.
I converted those xpm icons into png and edit those .desktop files, and suprisingly it starts to appear.
You can try the same. Replace all the desktop files of missing icon with PNG icons. and give a reboot to the system.

Thanks for the response . My cause of the problem was different . The code.desktop file was somehow populated with fastfetch configuration instead of the desktop entry after upgrading to f41(seems wierd). I had to manually delete this and create the desktop entry with icon field set to vscode
