How do I set up an EFI boot for Fedora? (I think that’s the only kind this MacBook Air recognizes.)
The default Fedora Workstation ISO when downloaded is hybrid, meaning it can boot either legacy (MBR) or uefi.
To install it as uefi boot make certain the iso is booting in uefi mode before you do the installation. Once that is done the installed system will boot uefi mode.
It is and it doesn’t. Booting from the USB, it boots EFI. Now that it’s installed, it does not show up as EFI. Looks like I might have to reinstall it.
Please mention the model details. Recent Intel Macs may need extra steps, but I never encountered one.
