before getting that router I had no idea how that stuff works.
now I wonder⌠could I just use a random laptop with 2 wifi cards and a few external antennas as a router?
there are security people using only USB and desoldering or ripping out everything else
So you could use a random mini-PC that has a CPU, RAM, Storage and a lot of usb-ports, and make a router from that.
Not sure how good the supply of USB-only cards here is.
The idea is to prevent access to the RAM, as USB cannot access it. Thunderbolt is also avoided.
Then in the OS the idea would be to keep as much outside of the kernel as possible, using FUSE for example
that would be very interesting to see, i donât see why not
