I just switched to Gnome 40 on Fedora Silverblue 34. What an amazing overall experience. I do love a lot of the new adjustments, but there is one thing that is confusing me.
It appears that everything that could account as a “settings” dialog - when opened - blocks the usage of the underlying application. As seen on nautilus and extensions:
Of course I do know this pattern, but to the best of my knowledge this behavior is new in Gnome and the reasoning behind it would interest me. For me at least this is always confusing and I tend to open+close+open+close the settings at lot due to being blocked.
