Black box and sometimes flickering at the top left of the Nautilus window and Gnome Settings. Issue does not appear with other application windows e.g. Firefox.
There is also a transparent black box over the address bar when entering text. I have attached example screenshot to help understand what I mean.
Not sure how else to describe it 
What I have tried:
- Reset Gnome settings using
dconf reset -f /org/gnome/
- Changed style from light back to dark, set appearance settings to default in Gnome tweaks.
I don’t want to go randomly resetting and/or deleting gnome config files and break it even more, if anyone has any suggestions on what I can try next that would be appreciated.
