Hello, I have the following problem: I use fedora for school and in my country (Germany) people work a lot with Iserve, which is all well and good. Unfortunately, Iserve uses a proxy, which is not a problem at all, although Fedora shows me that despite the proxy being set up I still have to set up a proxy but everything still works so far, now we come to my main problem. Due to a cooperation between two schools, I’m in school number 1 on one day and in school number 2 on another day, both of them also use Iserve but not a uniform one Proxy means every time I change the school building I have to set up a “new” proxy, which is very annoying and I actually wish that I could set up a proxy directly for the respective Internet (WLAN), like with Windows. Does anyone have a way to solve or simplify the problem?
There are multiple methods:
- You can switch proxy profiles with GNOME Shell Extensions.
- NetworkManager supports certain proxy settings per connection.
- It can be scripted and applied with custom launchers.
