How hard would it be to switch to X11 on Asahi Fedora KDE?

I made a Firefox support post and someone responded to try ff in x11 to see if I still have a problem. I responded that it would probably be a lot of work and they replied: “Test in X11, if it works, then you run off and open a bug. THE END”

I think it’s impossible to switch to X11 on Asahi Linux because Asahi Linux has only supported Wayland from the start?

You can still get Plasma X11 from plasma-workspace-x11 package.

If Plasma 6 supports X11 still and Fedora has the packages needed for the session, switching shouldn’t be an issue (GNOME on Xorg still worked on F41). I’m wondering if there’s a Xorg DDX or modesetting support though?

Specifically native X11 or would be X11 via Xwayland enough?

A native X11 session will “work” but it has know issues. The most serious ones are tearing due to missing atomic page flip and X11 application relience on vsync interrupts repaint timing. See plasma’s spinning gear being very fas during login.
So testing on X11 is possible but it could run into existing issues making the testing pointless.
