Fedora doesn't boot with external monitor

when I boot with the external monitor connected with hdmi to my laptop, which works with nvidia only, fedora stuck here, it never starts, this is how it appears:

[ OK ] Started nvidia-powerd.service - nvidia-powerd service. Starting systemd-backlight@backlight:nvidia_0.service - Load/Save Screen Backlight Brightness of backlight:nvidia_0…
[ OK ] Finished systemd-backlight@backlight:nvidia_0.service - Load/Save Screen Backlight Brightness of backlight:nvidia_8.

or just:
[ OK ] Started nvidia-powerd.service- nvidia-powerd service. Starting systemd-backlight@backlight:nvidia_0.service - Load/Save Screen Backlight Brightness of backlight:nvidia_0…

when I disconnect the monitor and connect it back after starting, everything works

Hey. Check for this topic here forum nvidia because is Nvidia hardware-related topic. There are many posts about similar problems on Ubuntu, Fedora etc.

I actually searched but I couldn’t find a similar issue posted, please send me a link if you found a similar post.

Many laptops have the dGPU (nvidia usually) connected to the external port and not immediately able to drive the built in screen. Since users may or may not want to use the external monitor it seems that the systems also do not use both GPUs at the same time.

For my system I followed instructions here and both monitors work well all the time.

At one point on my laptop both monitors would only work in xorg and not with wayland. Also, you cannot set the nvidia GPU as primary when using wayland since that file is only active with xorg in use.

Try register on their (nvidia) forum - and then start new issue releated to your specific external monitor problem on Fedora Linux. If issue done - try attach to this ask Fedora forum thread. Rember, to be accurate when describe the problem.
