Fedora 42 Wallpaper Inspiration

The wallpaper is usually inspired by someone, or something, in STEAM starting with a specific letter of the alphabet. Right now we are on Q! No doubt the hardest letter in the alphabet to find for  F41 is already done and ready, which has allowed us to move ahead of schedule and get wallpapers done earlier in advance from now on.

When casting your vote, think of the visuals inspired by each option. Feel free to comment your ideas below, as it might help others.

Which figure do you think would make the best inspiration for Fedora 42’s release artwork
  • Selena Quintanilla - A singer whose contributions to music and fashion made her one of the most celebrated Mexican-American entertainers of the late 20th century
  • Ali Qushi - A theologian, jurist, astronomer, mathematician, and physicist, who settled in the Ottoman Empire sometime before 1472.
  • Quod erat demonstrandum - A latin phrase meaning ā€œthat which was to be demonstratedā€ just like open source.
  • Quest - ā€œa long search for somethingā€ just like how we are constantly on the search to share and improve open source.

I notice the poll is limited to design team members. Is this intentional?

Hello, I’m trying to find out who did the Fedora 42 wallpaper (which is this one, isn’t it?), was it you, @madelinepeck? You did the one for 40, didn’t you?

I started an illustration aaages ago (never finished it) which had a quite simular composition so it was really nice to see this and be reminded of it, I should get around to finish it, sometime!

Where is a good place to find credits for stuff like this?
