Fedora 39 installation in Slovenian

Anaconda in Slovenian is not included in Fedora 39 beta although the translation of anaconda is 80% available. Is there some other untranslated blocking part, that prevents instalation in Slovenian?

You are right, the pecentage of completion is about 80%
see anaconda/f39 — Slovenian @ Fedora Weblate. Looking at Automate Translation Workflow, it seems Slovenian is entirely missing.

Let’s ping the anaconda package maintainers to kindly ask them to include the translation…
@m4rtink, @vladimirslavik, @rvykydal, @jkonecny, @vponcova, @eleana. anaconda i18n

You can contact the maintainers of this package via email at anaconda dash maintainers at fedoraproject dot org.

Maybe you want to help and improve or even complete the translation so it can be included in the F39 release.

Something to clarify here: which image did you test with exactly? Was it using the new “web UI” installer (which has been delayed to F40) or the familiar old installer from previous releases? Thanks!

Hello! In f39, Slovenian translation appears to be part of the anaconda package, and present on both live and server images. I am not sure if there was any problem for beta specifically, but GA should certainly have it.

Any language translated in weblate is automatically included, unless the translation has errors or is less than 10% complete (or 5% - not sure now).

To be clear, we no longer always grab latest translations but use known good versions. It is theoretically possible that Slovenian had a problem, then got fixed too close to the release, and we did not pick the changes. However, we do run a daily test for such excluded translations, and I don’t remember any problems detected recently…

I just checked the F39 Beta Workstation live image - Fedora-Workstation-Live-x86_64-39_Beta-1.1.iso - and Slovenian is definitely present in the installer there, with what seems like a nearly full translation.

I am glad that Slovenian is included in the code. All translations of the software are in place as well.

But the unfortunate fact is that Slovenian is not shown in the Anaconda language menu selection.
There is

Romana - Romanian
Sinhala
Slovenčina - Slovak
Shquip - Albanian

(See attached photo)

I suspect that there might be some mess with Slovakian in the language menu branching.

Please check these details which are common embarasments even on world events:
Slovenščina = Slovenian (country Slovenia)
Slovenčina = Slovak (country Slovakia)

Thanks for help
