Fedora 38 : random freezes on last kernel + fails to resume from suspend

Updated my kernel today to :
Linux aesir 6.3.11-200.fc38.x86_64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Sun Jul 2 13:17:31 UTC 2023 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Laptop is a Lenovo L14 Gen2a

Never had any issues on Ubuntu. Never had any issues on Fedora 37
Worked fine until today under Fedora 38

On the latest kernel, resuming from sleep has become imposible : machine seems to wake up. Screen stays black.
And the machine randomly freezes.

Been checking journalctl and I am not sure what to do : I have until now been unable to get form journalctl any explanation on what is happening.

I did try to use journalctl --list-boots
Then checking the 3 last logs.
Nothing.

I find nothing on what is happening on the laptop and why it randomly freezes, or fails to wake up.

Can someone tell me what to do ?

Random “freezes” could be due to a hardware failure or an old software component that doesn’t properly support 6.3 kernels. Failure to resume from suspend may be a symptom or a separate issue, but first priority should be stop the random freezes.

First make sure you have all Lenovo firmware updates. Lenovo participates in the Linux Vendor Firmware Service (LVFS). From man fwupmgr:

Most users who want to just update all devices to the latest versions can do fwupdmgr refresh and then fwupdm‐gr update. At this point the system will asking [SIC] for confirmation, update some devices, and may then reboot to deploy other updates offline.

If you find firmware updates but the problem contnues after they have been installed, make sure you have applied all Fedora updates and remove old Fedora packages you don’t need. Run dnf autoremove to view a list of potential candidates. You may need to do research to determine whether you need a particular package from an earlier Fedora release.

Some vendors provide hardware test software (but it usually require
Windows).
