Hi, from time to time fedora freezed when waking up from suspension, so I decided to upgrade to F41 in hope of resolving this issue.
It ended up making things worse, now it freezes every time I wake up my laptop. It reaches the point where it becomes unusable as my daily driver, and I even considered switching to another distro since I use it for work.
I need a bit of help troubleshooting this issue.

Does your system have an AMD GPU? If that is the case then it could be a known kernel bug and you may be able to find more information on the AMD issue tracker:
Report the problem to the bugzilla redhat website. This problem is a general problem. It has been going on since very old versions. It is not unique to you. It requires software improvements.
After reading other threads on this issue, I saw that someone suggested downgrading to a different kernel. Is this a good solution? Is it safe? Would I still be able to run F41 smoothly, or could it cause other problems?
My GPU is nvidia, CPU is intel. Suspend sometimes works. Sometimes it struggles to work, it suspends very late sometimes. Sometimes the screen turns off and the pc runs for hours, it can’t suspend. My system is fedora 41.
If you create a new topic at bugzilla.redhat.com, there are professionals who can help you solve your problem. Fedora developers’ issue threads are there.
What you need to do is add journal entries
I’m having the same issue on F41 (I’ve had this issue for at least a year now, at least since F39). This is really annoying as I have to reboot at almost every suspend
This really needs to be fixed, without to dig in forums and modify config files…
In the meantime has someone found a good way to fix this issue? Because the following link doesn’t seem like a very satisfactory fix:
this fixed my issue, however it’s a temporal patch.
Besides, I posted the bug in redhat filezilla but either I haven’t posted it right or they haven’t seen it yet.
FYI i have the same wifi card and no problems with suspend or resume, so maybe the card itself isn’t the problem. Perhaps it’s the implementation on the motherboard or a combination with other hardware, hard to say.
