We did this configuration modification in askfedora some time ago:

Do you think we should do the same things here???

I’m not opposed, but there was the issue with the calendar plugin — which we’re using for Join us for Fedora Social Hour every week! - Fedora Discussion and Upcoming Fedora Council meetings - Fedora Discussion. I don’t remember what the problem was, exactly…
The change of how the platform display the dates is not cause any problme at all, the problem you’re talking about how the plug-ins you comment interferes how discourse sorted the LAST list :

This was the problem and was fixed in upstream some time ago:

Ok, so, in that case, I’m in favor of bringing the date format config change here.
Fix it now, this is what i did:
Use Admin
> Customize
> Text Content
…
search for 'YY
which will list:
js.dates.tiny.date_year
MMM 'YY
js.dates.medium.date_year
MMM D, 'YY
js.dates.long_date_with_year
MMM D, 'YY LT
js.dates.long_date_with_year_without_time
MMM D, 'YY
js.dates.long_date_with_year_with_linebreak
MMM D, 'YY <br/>LT
Edit and adjust those replacing 'YY
with YYYY
to get the full year.
Regards.,
I think the way we have changed it to is much more confusing.
It is fine to expand the year but if you do that you need to remove the '
.
“Nov '2022” makes no sense. It should be either “Nov 2022” or “Nov '22”
Thanks for fixing it.
