Choose between Fedora and Windows 10 on startup

I have Fedora and Windows 10 dual booted on my system. But in order to access Fedora I have to login to Windows and restart in advanced startup options. Is there a way to choose between Fedora and Windows 10 at startup?

If you want dual boot automatically, you need to install Windows first than Fedora. Fedora automatically see the unallocated space and set for you so at the beginning Fedora boot screen will show up and you can also see Windows there.

It appears that the grub menu sometimes doesn’t appear on UEFI systems. I used bcdedit /set {bootmgr} path \EFI\fedora\shim.efi to fix this. Thanks!

Hi @eldonparfe,
Welcome to ask.:fedora:.org
Could you mark your solution for this since it is a topic that frequently comes up, it would be great if others could use your solution found.

It is an intended feature that the grub menu not appear during boot on a system that only boots fedora, but that it appear always when dual booting with windows.

@eldonparfe , you did not say what spin of fedora you installed, but I am glad you were able to find a fix. :+1:
