I am an Industrial Automation Solution Provider. I usually design/build/implement industrial control systems that are an integration of many vendor products, into a control solution for the given application. Basically I program PLC’s, HMI’s, and PC’s (if required). I have to know a fair bit about networking, virtualization, and even embedded systems. I commonly use Linux, and specifically my Fedora Workstation for various tasks such as documentation, java programming, C/C++ programming, CADD to name a handful.
