I have files “trapped” in the Files app on my iPhone and KDE Connect seems to be the only way to get them off there. Fedora 42 on the Fedora side and ios 18.5 on the iPhone 11 side. Is this combo supposed to work?
I can pair the devices, but they disconnect after anywhere between 5 and 30 seconds and I am unable to reconnect them without forgetting the devices on each end and re-pairing. I did manage to get a file transfer started one time and the transfer appeared to work, but the file wasn’t actually transferred.
Ping also works, until the devices disconnect.
Bluetooth file transfer doesn’t seem to be supported anymore.
Any ideas? Any other apps that can get files out of the iPhone to a Fedora host?
UPDATE: A couple of better options:
- The IOS Files app can send files to a SMB protocol server
- You can send files to Google Drive, etc.
- You have to select the files one a time on the phone, there is no “Select All”, which is stupid.
