The uk-sig has agreed to start discussing the next Local London Meetup: in February, shortly after FOSDEM, the StateOfOpenCon takes place in London, which might make it useful to align the next Local London Meetup with it: maybe more people are around in the StateOfOpenCon week (it takes place on 4th and 5th February).
However, nothing has been fixed yet, everything is open to discussion: but as usual, our goal it to have the Local London Meetup take place close to any of the London terminals to have it well connected for everyone.
Feel free to suggest dates, topics, venues, formats and everything else!
Rough estimation of people who are generally interested in joining (no deadline or so, this poll is not binding, it’s just for an overview of whom’s interests we will try to take into account):

(maybe there will be another poll later, then binding but with specific dates/time/location and more information)
My personal preference would be if the meetup would take place between the 3rd and 7th Feb, best would be the 6th imho, so close to the conference but not making people to choose between both (it’s the day after the conference). Yet, if some people would join on 5th but will leave UK already on 6th, the 5th might be a good candidate too
I won’t make it to StateofOpenCon, but I’m can meet up after the conf/work on evenings any day between 3rd and 7th at the moment. If we need room, I’m happy to book us something at UCL again (or if we want to do a social, I can book us a restaurant/pub depending on what people prefer)?
We have had two meetups at the UCL (Bloomsbury), in which we had a presentation each time, and then subsequent discussions, once some participants went to a pub afterwards, once the meetup took place throughout at the UCL as we had some things to discuss.
Another meetup was more casual: we met at a pub, had some drinks, and then went to a restaurant for dinner.
Hi all, thanks @py0xc3 for the initiative. We can meet at Chandos? it is a pub in Lewisham
(SE23 1LN). If you want to meet at Central London, London Bridge is well connected too.
