😊 What does your Fedora background look like?

I have my beautiful background thanks to Astronomy Picture of the Day and Plasma!

Hi everyone. I’ve been using the standard Fedora 39 wallpaper since Fedora 38. I’ve always liked it a lot.

  • Conky Fedora Tree
  • Conky Font: IBM Plex Mono

Tor installed?
In your ~/.conkyrc configuration file you can use Tor (torsocks):

${alignr}${offset -32}< ${execi 60 torsocks curl ifconfig.co} > Wan ─┤

— FIXED —

[How-To] Autostart of conky in Fedora 42

1.) Create a conky.desktop file:

touch ~/.config/autostart/conky.desktop

2.) Add these entries:

[Desktop Entry]
Type=Application
Name=conky
Exec=conky --daemonize --pause=1
StartupNotify=false
Terminal=false
Icon=conky-logomark-violet
Categories=System;Monitor;

Reboot

That’s it!
Side note: this is the only successful way in this world. Fedora 42 - June 2025

Thank You - Michael (Linux teacher, Linux author.)
