Weak signal wifi with Fedora kernel 5.16.5

Hello, I have a small problem with respect of the kernel 5.16.5. when i upgrading Fedora after install and rebooting the pc (sudo dnf update), the kernel change from 5.14.10 to 5.16.5. Right now I’m using Fedora with 5.14.10 but I want to know what is the cause and if it has a solution.

I using a TP-Link Wifi Adapter TL-WN722N:

inxi -Nn
Network:
Device-1: Realtek RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet
    driver: r8169
IF: enp5s0 state: down mac: 40:b0:76:61:8a:7d
  Device-2: TP-Link TL-WN722N v2/v3 [Realtek RTL8188EUS] type: USB
    driver: r8188eu
IF: wlp10s0f3u1 state: up mac: 50:3e:aa:df:f1:47

i’m new in this so, if you need something just let me know.

Go back to Kernel Linux fedora 5.14.10-300.fc35.x86_64 #1 SMP Thu Oct 7 20:48:44 UTC 2021 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Mine is working good with this Kernel

You can monitor the strength of the signal and see current channel and signal strenght with iw wlp10s0f3u1 info. Most likely, it’s simply landed on a noisy channel. You can use iw dev wlp10s0f3u1 set channel ## (replace ## with channel number) to a less busy channel. There are phone apps that can help you identify this if your router isn’t the best at negotiating it.

Please check I think is a know issue. Google RTL8188EUS slow on kernel 5.15.

Some reports on opensuse TW. And Manjaro.

Gracias

I have the same problem with RTL8188EUS. WIFI drops completely “Limited Connectivity”

5.15.13 works fine
5.15.18 works fine
5.16.10 fails
5.16.11 fails

Has anybody found a solution?
