Usually have to remove `~/.cache/thumbnails` to generate the video thumbnails in GNOME Files (Nautilus)

After create some videos in Kdenlive, some thumbnails aren’t generated. There appears the following icon.

Always use in kdenlive the preset MP4-H264/ACC when it need to render.

Have to delete the content of ~/.cache/thumbnails to regenerate the thumbnails and fix the problems. topic

Do you have the Kdenlive output folder open in Nautilus as the file is rendering? If so, what I would guess is probably happening is that the thumbnailer tries to generate a thumbnail for the incomplete video file, which fails, but creates a file in ~/.cache/thumbnails/ anyway. Because that file is present, the thumbnailer doesn’t retry when the rendering completes, and so the proper thumbnail never gets generated.

If the same problem occurs even when you don’t have the Kdenlive output folder open while rendering, then I’m wrong. If the problem only ever occurs when you do have that folder open during rendering, then I’d wager that I’m right and I’d also call that a bug in either the thumbnailer or Nautilus.
