I keep getting an important update failed to install error on reboot. However no error is listed. And the update keep letting me know that they ready to install. What gives.
What is giving you that message and when?
If it is the offline update that is done by packagekit during a shutdown or reboot then you are already getting the full message available.
If instead you were to use dnf upgrade in a terminal window it would tell you what the cause of the error is and you can then have the info needed to solve the issue.
I suggest you try the update using dnf so you can see the full errors reported.
