Fairly new to Linux, so please forgive my inexperience. Whenever I go to shut down / reboot Fedora, it asks to apply updates. On reboot, it flashes two errors so fast I cannot catch what they say, something about watch dog not stopping and couldn’t mount hardware. It then boots back into Fedora and still says it has an update. I’ve tried using terminal to do updates, hoping whatever is stuck would clear out, but it persists. Running Fedora 44, Gnome 50, Kernel V. 7.2.4-200.fc44x86_64, and I don’t think this is NVIDIA related as I have an AMD Radeon RX 590 GME. Please let me know if any additional system info is needed. Thanks!
I had not seen that, thanks! For everyone who finds this thread, what fixed it for me was “sudo dnf offline clean”
You might also check if Gnome Software is configured to check and download new updates automatically.
If gnome software is set to do the automatic update this may happen. If automatic update is disabled the messages never seem to appear for me.
