Touchpad dont work after suspended

Same issue here.

I have a thinkpad X240. I started having problems with latest F35 kernel (5.17 i bet)

Most notable symptoms is trackpad will not work upon resume.

I confirm suspend / resume is not as smooth as before. I m used to close the lid to suspend computer. Now i often found the laptop powered off, battery drained, probably because it did not suspend

For the trackpad i have a work arround to make it work again without rebooting:

sudo modprobe -r -v rmi_smbus  && sudo modprobe -v rmi_smbus

have a nice day !

sudo modprobe -r -v rmi_smbus  && sudo modprobe -v rmi_smbus

command worked, Thnx dude.
We both run a 4th intel generation cpus. Maybe its a sign to get new laptops :rofl:

Would be sad if linux force me to change hardware.

dnf history on my laptop take 6min to complete and goes back to november 2016

Hack no longer work for me with latest 5.18 kernel.

Latest kernels 5.17 and R.18 are not playing nicely with my hardware : random lockup, failure to resume trackpad …
