I use Fedora 38 with Gnome on Thinkpad x270 with a native Synaptics touchpad. After I suspend the laptop and wake it back up, the touchpad works as usual but its buttons don’t. Interestingly, they start working again a few minutes later.
Workarounds
Not sure if it is a workaround but, like I said, the buttons resume work after a few minutes.
Can still be reproduced on Silverblue 39. According to this Reddit post, there’s a suspend related setting in BIOS that can fix the issue, but I can’t find it on my device unfortunately.
