Stuck booting live KDE

I’ve created a bootable USB with Fedora Media Writer. Iso used: Fedora-KDE-Live-x86_64-40-1.14.iso. When trying to boot it, the process gets stuck and I am left with a black screen with blinking cursor. The only option is to switch the machine off.

I suspect the Nvidia card being an issue, but maybe I am wrong. It is an older machine.
How to boot the image and install Fedora KDE Plasma?

Hardware:

ASUS N53JN (SX030D)

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-450M (2.4GHz, 3MB)
  • chipset: Intel HM55
  • GPU: nVidia GeForce with CUDA GT335M 1024MB DDR3

On the workstation version the initial boot provides 3 options.

start fedora installer
test image and start fedora installer
troubleshooting

The kde installer is probably the same.
The 3rd option allows booting in basic graphics mode which usually works with nvidia gpus.

Thank you, yes there is a Troubleshooting option allowing booting into basic graphics mode.
I’ll give it a try.
Can I expect from the installer to handle the nvidia graphics?
