Steam (From Fedora Linux) Will Not Launch

I have steam installed from Fedora because there are some plugins and themes I like to use (Millennium) for the client and it’s been more or less fine since I’ve done that, but now I can’t get the Fedora version to launch at all. I installed from Flathub and that version of the client works fine but doesn’t recognize all of the games I already have installed on my computer.

Steam and Millennium are both updated as well, not really sure what else I can do to get this working now. Or if there’s a way I can get the Flathub steam client to recognize the games I already have installed.

You may need to install flatseal and give the steam flatpak permissions to your games directory?

If you run the fedora version of steam from the command line do you get any errors?

FYI people seem to have less issues with rmpfusion steam install from rpms.

I had in fact originally gone with the rpmfusion route

Ok I have a cold so my brain is not operating at full capacity. I just uninstalled via Discovery and then reinstalled by running these commands and everything is working fine again. All plugins and themes are good. Forgot to do the oldest trick in the book lmao

If this happens again and a re-installation doesn’t work, I’ll give this a shot and let you know how it goes
