Issues starting steam

Hello i came to ask for some assistance since im new to linux and the actual konsol stuff needed to bassically handle my computer, i picked it up a few days ago and wish to download steam and epic to use the software i have on them like aesprite or unreal (and ss14 for steam)

so im asking for any kind souls to help me out in starting steam on fedora despite the error that im sure is familiar.
“You are missing the following 32-bit libraries, and Steam may not run:
libc.so.6”
thank u for reading

Welcome!

How did you download steam, and how are you trying to start it?

Assuming you have installed Fedora Workstation, and you have enabled the “Enable third-party repositories” option during Fedora setup:
Steam should be available for install from the “Software” application. Both the RPM package or the Flatpak version from Flathub should work and not cause the “missing 32-bit libraries” error you posted above.

PS:

None of what you need to do to install Steam should require opening a console / terminal.

Although as long as the repo was enabled as you noted above, the command sudo dnf install steam from the terminal window works seamlessly.

There are a few topics about this error and this one notably has a solution. Maybe yours is also a bios error?
