No volume icon in tray & Fn keys not working for volume change (KDE)

Lenovo Ideapad V320-17ISK notebook.

Installed Fedora 38 with KDE.

  1. There is no sound volume icon in the tray. Can change volume from System Settings.

a) Fn+F1/F2/F3 does not work for Mute, Vol Up & Vol Dn. Other Fn keys do work as expected.

b) Searched the internet, the keys do work:
showkey --keycodes

keycode 96 release
keycode 113 press
keycode 113 release
keycode 114 press
keycode 114 release
keycode 115 press
keycode 115 release

c) In System Setup the keys are assigned:

Shortcut Volume Mute is already assigned to action ‘Mute’ of Audio Volume.
Do you want to reassign it?

tnx

Using Fedora 40 - all works fine now.
