I wanted to let the group know that I’m working on packaging the new gazebo packages. I’m using this copr to test out the builds. It’s mostly going smoothly, with some install path fixups and bugfixes for rawhide. Once everything’s ready I’ll start posting package reviews and follow up in this thread.
Is there any update on this?
The Robotics lab currently fails to build because gazebo - and also python3-rosdep and python3-catkin_tools, which seem to be kinda related to gazebo - are not installable. gazebo was never rebuilt for the last graphviz soname bump. rosdep and catkin_tools are not installable because they failed rebuild for Python 3.14.
I’m doing a drive-by trying to fix failing image builds, but gazebo is much too big and heavy for me to get involved with. If somebody can take care of this, it’d be great. Otherwise we could drop the packages from comps, but gazebo seems like kinda a large chunk of what a Robotics lab should be…
