Mirror 2 monitors out of 3

Hi, I have almost the same problem.

I use two monitors with different resolutions and frequencies, and a third would be for a capture card. The third is a “virtual monitor,” which was only detected, but it doesn’t physically exist, and I can’t use a frequency higher than @60Hz on it. My main monitor is @144Hz.

I would like to mirror what’s on my main monitor to this third “virtual” monitor. I already use the mirroring feature normally in Windows and the BigLinux distro. I would really like it if Fedora already had this feature natively without any hassle.

Anyway, is there any way to mirror monitor 1 to “virtual” monitor 3, preferably without having to leave monitor 1 at @60Hz?

Thank you in advance for any help!

Exemple: Windows 11

Note that the previous thread already has a solution marked and that it has been necro since Nov 2023

Your OS version and gnome are much newer and the solution would not be exactly the same. (major differences between f39 and F41/f42) (I have to assume you are using one of the currently supported fedora versions)

I am closing that thread and moving your post to a new topic.

Thank you! I’m actually using the latest versions of Fedora and Gnome. I was using Windows at the time of this post; when I’m back on Fedora, I’ll update with the system information.
