Merkuro not launching - specifically calendar

When I click on the icon I get a bouncy icon and then nothing. When I launch from a terminal I get this:

~$ merkuro-calendar
QQmlApplicationEngine failed to load component
qrc:/main.qml:328:19: Type MainDrawer unavailable
qrc:/MainDrawer.qml:341:9: Type CheckableCollectionNavigationView unavailable
qrc:/CheckableCollectionNavigationView.qml:11:1: Failed to extract plugin meta data from '/usr/lib64/qt6/qml/org/kde/merkuro/contact/libmerkuro_contact_pluginplugin.so': '/usr/lib64/qt6/qml/org/kde/merkuro/contact/libmerkuro_contact_pluginplugin.so' is not a Qt plugin (metadata not found)

The mail app merkuro-mail launches okay.

I did a remove and re-install and got same issue. Also restarted my kde session and same.

Thanks for any help.

I think this happened after one of the recent updates, can’t remember exactly when I used merkuro the last time, but I definitively experience the same problem now.

The KDE team are already aware of it, there’s a bug report with a workaround (see comment #5 therein).

I’ll wait until they publish an updated version.

Thanks! Yeah came back from vacation and of course started by updating. No problem, I’ll wait for an update.

I have just now installed an update to Merkuro, it can now be started again
