LUKS password prompt hidden after installing Nvidia drivers

Hi all.

  1. Install Fedora, enable LUKS on system disk
  2. Reboot. Choose kernel from GRUB2. LUKS password prompt will be clearly visible.
  3. Install nvidia drivers.
  4. Reboot. Choose kernel from GRUB2. LUKS password prompt is completely black/hidden.
  5. Type password, system will start normally.

This happens on F35 (maybe earlier too) and on fresh F36 install.
How to debug?
I tried this: LUKS encryption prompt has wrong resoltuion after installing nvidia drivers

grubby --args="video=1024x768" --update-kernel=ALL

Didn’t help…

If you have nVidia GPU and integrated Intel GPU, goto UEFI setup. Look for the “iGPU Multi Monitoring” setting. Disable this setting if you dont have any monitors connected to the iGPU (motherboard display connectors).
Graphical LUKS password prompt will now appear after GRUB.
