Lost USB hub after upgrade

Hello.

I lost communication with a generic USB 2.0 7-port hub after updating using dnf. Hub works on different distro’s live drive and Windows 10, same as devices attached to it. Hub worked nicely before this upgrade. Using Fedora 31 KDE spin.

Hello @meneldur, and Welcome to the forum!
Judging by this last statement from the dnf upgrade, you need to follow it’s instructions suggested.

So in a terminal run systemctl daemon-reload and the udevd service daemon will be reloaded and then your USB hub should be recognized I believe.

I did that when started checking the problem. Nothing changed.

It’s interesting both hub and attached devices are recognized, either when plugging or unplugging them. But those devices doesn’t work but on another USB port.

Solved by new update of systemd 243.7. The problem came with 243.6.
The issue was reported here and solution was only commenting a line for udev.
