LG gram style 16" backlight keyboard stopped to work after installing kernel-core-6.9.7-200.fc40.x86_64

The last working kernel was: kernel-core-6.9.6-200.fc40.x86_64 also the Fn keys to increase/decrease the screen brightness stopped to work as well if I try to activate the keyboard backlight using the Fn key, it works but if I try to make it work clicking the keyboard option on the upper right corner menu, nothing happens (image attached for reference), if I manually select kernel 6.9.6 all works fine. The newest kernel is the 6.9.10 and the issue persists. I’m actually new in this topics, I want to stay in Linux, I have been trying to see how to troubleshot this but not sure, if you could provide me with the how to it would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

Hi there. From the screenshot I see (presume) you’re using GNOME Shell extensions. Could you try testing your issues with extensions disabled?

Hello guys!

I can confirm the same issue.

Tried no extensions, different kernels from 6.9 to 6.10 and the issues still there.

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Day:2024-07-28_Kernel_6.10_Test_Week

No brightness (FN+BRIGHT) works.

Battery driver does not work.

Downgrading to kernel 6.8.5-301.fc40.x86_64 and all looks to works fine.

My laptop is LG Gram 16ZB90R.

So, I’m waiting for newest kernels (may be on fedora 41) to see what happens.
