Recently keys have been getting stuck on my keyboard. Mostly the modifier keys (shift, control, alt), however a couple of times ‘W’ also got stuck. By pressing the keys again it resets the key state.
I replaced my keyboard and I’m still getting the issue.
Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this?
I have a similar issue, where number keys are stuck right after switching workspace with the following key combinations. Pressing the stuck key once again unstucks it.
[Meta]+1
[Meta]+2
[Meta]+3
[Meta]+4
For me this issue apperared right after upgrading to Fedora 43 today. Went from a completely upgraded Fedora 42 system into Fedora 43.
I’m experiencing the same issue. When I switch workspaces using Ctrl+Alt+arrow keys, the arrow key get stuck afterwards. This causes problems with running windows – for example, the current song jumps to the end, or the current image restarts the list. I’m running Fedora 43 (upgraded from 42) and have noticed this issue only in the past few weeks.
Edit: just found this discussion: Wierd behavior on switch workspace , workaround is to sudo dnf downgrade mutter and then wait for mutter update fix
I am unable to reproduce after updating all packages yesterday, December 1st. The fix probably came through mutter-49.2-2.fc43.src.rpm and/or gnome-shell-49.2-2.fc43.x86_64.rpm. Case closed!
