How to prevent "Automatic Suspend" alert in Fedora (Gnome) Workstation?

The alert box “Automatic Suspend, Suspending soon because of inactivity” keeps popping up. The system doesn’t seem to actually suspend, I have a dashboard-type app running on the desktop and the app keeps running. I’ve tried:

  • dbus-run-session gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power sleep-inactive-ac-timeout 0
  • systemctl mask sleep.target suspend.target hibernate.target hybrid-sleep.target
  • systemctl stop,disable upower and power-profiles-daemon

Laptop is running F40 with “Fedora Workstation” group install. There are no options to control sleep, hibernate, or suspend in the Settings app I have.

I also get a “The system will suspend now!” broadcast message on the console, although nothing happens.

Would disabling auto-suspend work in-lieu of disabling the notification?

Settings → Power → Power Saving - Automatic Suspend → When Plugged-In (off)

There are no options to control sleep, hibernate, or suspend in the Settings app I have.

There is an “Automatic Power Saver” option to “turn on power saver mode when the battery is low”, and I have it disabled.
