Headphone Audio plays both sound channels in BOTH ears

Hi Yall! I recently got a new Framework 12 and am using fedora linux on it for the first time, but I have been running into an issue with my earbuds, specifically, I found that both the left and right channels are playing in both my right and left ears. I beleve that the issue is due to my earbuds being fancy and having two inputs on both ears (they’re IEMs), but I can’t seem to find anyone else with the same issue. This was happening on both Fedora 42 and 43 so it has nothing to do with the upgrade (yay!)
Specs:
Audio Driver: Pipewire
CPU: 13th gen i5 1334U
GUI: KDE Plasma
Earbuds: TRUTHEAR GATE In-ear Monitor

I was surprised that no-one else has had this issue, I thought the audiophile community and the linux community would have more overlap. LMK if yall have any solutions!

Bump, I asked my friend who got me into linux and he had no idea, anything helps!

So! Its fixed, but I don’t know what changed, all I know is it just started working. So heres what I did.
Step 1: Download and Open Steam
Step 2: Buy UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH Exe:Late[cl-r] (this is what worked for me idk)
Step 3: Download and play it (it didn’t get fixed until I played for about 5 hours (IDK OKAY)) maybe learn a character (Seth? Phonen? i dont care)
Step 4: Plug in your headphones and realize its fixed.

I have no idea why this worked, or if it will work with other games, but if you want something that solved my issue… this is it.

No joke this is what worked for me. :person_shrugging:

Update: It broke again, re-opening under night did not solve the problem. This is really annoying me as I just want to use my new laptop to its fullest.

So guess what. It was a hardware issue. Specifically the earbuds I’m using don’t like the headphone jack on the Framework. So like. This isn’t even a fedora issue. I guess… dont use the TRUTHEAR GATE in ear monitors. that’s it. I guess. Wow I sound insane in the earlier post.
