GUI freezes after installation, but install media runs fine

Probably similar to Fedora freezes ... for years now - #8 by ankursinha

Months ago, I put Fedora32 and Ubuntu 20.04.lts1 on differenct pcie SSD. They behaved the same as shortly the GUI freezes. I managed, from Clear Linux, to change the video driver on the Ubuntu so I can run it. I cannot get Fedora to run long enough to do any changes. I think I must need to boot into non-GUI mode and make some video changes, but I no longer remember what I did, although, the Ubuntu ran long enough to use the graphical video change.
I assume the install media uses a generic driver, so it will run successfully. Once I install, Fedora freezes almost immediately upon boot. All of my other ThinkPad run Fedora, but This P53 has Fedora stumped. Perhaps with the relationship with Lenovo now, a more recent version of Fedora will work, but the current download version still matches my original version.

This runs on Ubuntu:
