When I move to another workspace and open an application, the application launches at the previous workspace. It requires manual work to move a window to another workspace. It’s very annoying. The bug is present on Fedora 44 and 45. Any workaround!?
are you moving to a workspace and then for instance using a hotkey to launch an app and then moving back to the previous workspace as its launching. So for instance if you launch steam which takes a little bit to launch on workspace 2 then before its done launching go to Workspace 1 it will show up on whatever workspace your currently focused on when it launches.
No, I use three fingers drags to switch workspaces and get an overview, but I switch workspaces and launch a new app it opened in previous workspace. I never switched workspace before it launched. If I try an app launch for the second workspace, it launches in the first workspace and also switches my view to the first workspace, then I go to the overview and it shows the second workspace.
hmm thats strange im on Fedora 45 as well and ive never had this issue on 43 or 44 either that i can recall although it could be a setting somewhere i changed at some point and just dont remember.
