I’m looking at making some additional updates to rapid-photo-downloader for Fedora and encountered some odd behavior on the 31 Beta. Basically the application name is wrong and icon goes missing in the Switcher.
A search through the issues and didn’t yield anything, curious if anyone has encountered something similar. Is there some known mitigating steps for Gnome 34? It’s possibly related to StartupWMClass
, however it isn’t an issue on GNOME 32 (or on Arch Linux running GNOME 34). If this is a bug, seems it should be filed against GNOME itself?
Apologies on the screen capture quality, there does not seem to be a way to take screenshot whilst keeping the application switcher on-screen.
Fedora 31:
App library versions have not really changed all that much… QT and PyQT are mismatched versions in fedora 31 whereas Arch has them both at 5.13.1:
