when i logout of a fresh install and upgraded version of fedora kde 36 i get a blank screen when logging out. i am able to toggle tty and log back in that way. log in on fresh boot works fine as well as logging in from a lock. i have found others with this same issue since a few releases ago:

As a caution - a lot has changed in Fedora land since Fedora 32. I haven’t seen this issue on KDE in Fedora 35 or 36 personally. Next time this happens, are you able to immediately log into a vtty (hit Alt+Ctrl+F2) then run journalctl --since -5m and see if there are any obvious error messages?
when i logged out i got the black screen like always, doing Alt+Ctrl+F2 gave me back the regular login screen but it was “frozen” with the password field populated. i did Alt+Ctrl+F3 to get a shell to login and ran journalctl --since -5m. im not sure if there is a security issue in posting the output of that?
