Fedora freezez

i am quite new to fedora and i have fedora 40 and it freezes randomly and i have to use button to switch off the laptop then start again it happends every 10-20 mins

so recently i posted on fedora discussion but got no answer i am trying again

and i recently tried " amdgpu.ppfeaturemask=0xfff7ffff amd_pstate=active " into my kernel parameters

It’s generally not a good idea to add kernel parameters unless they apply to your specific hardware. The Acer Aspire R3-131T appears to be an Intel based system so the amdgpu flag will have no effect on your situation.

This is an older kernel, so it would be best to update your system to the latest packages first to see if the problem persists.

Extremely old – in fact that is the kernel with the f40 release in April and shows that the entire system has probably never been updated since installation.

We cannot provide answers about problems on a system that has not been updated since the problem may have (and in most cases has) already been solved with the updates. I would expect you will see about 1000 or more packages being updated when you use dnf upgrade
