Hi,
I just freshly moved to Fedora 43 from Windows and so far all stuff works except my bluetooth mouse.
I have a Logitech M590 mouse and when I put it in pairing mode it is not seen by Fedora. I tried “show unnamed devices” but also no luck.
Bluetooth works, I can connect my smartphone and the mouse works because my smartphone and my PC can see the device in pairing mode.
Laptop is a Lenovo P14s with, accoring to lsusb, the following bluetooth device:
Bus 003 Device 003: ID 0489:e0cd Foxconn / Hon Hai MediaTek Bluetooth Adapter
The M590 came with a USB dongle for non-BT mode but it’s lost, so bluetooth is the only option (and it worked before on Windows).
Hi and welcome to the forum,
Some questions:
In line 2 you write Fedora can not see the mouse
In line 3 you write both your phone and the PC can see the mouse
I’m guessing Fedora is not installed on the PC mentioned in line 2, but on a separate one which happens to be the laptop mentioned in line 4?
Just so I, and maybe others as well, understand what is the situation.
I don’t see Fedora 42 and 43 mentioned which is strange because older versions are mentioned, all be it listed only as: detected, not listed as: works.
Hope somebody else with more knowledge about hardware and their drivers can help you.
Your assumptions are correct, Fedora is freshly installed on my Lenovo P14s laptop, the mouse works with my android phone and my Windows PC. The mouse worked on the laptop before, as it was running Windows until yesterday. So the bluetooth device on the laptop works. And I can connect my android phone to the Fedora laptop.
I found another mouse and a gamepad. Fedora sees for the mouse (Tecknet EWM01832) one BM20X-3.0 device, windows sees a BM20X-3.0 and a BM20X-5.0 device.
Pairing the mouse fails with just “The setup of BM20X-3.0 has failed”. Same for the gamepad, it’s visible to Fedora but fails to pair with the same message.
In the logs I only see:
Dec 30 15:07:24 fedora.fritz.box bluetoothd[1393]: No matching connection for device
Dec 30 15:07:31 fedora.fritz.box bluetoothd[1393]: profiles/input/device.c:control_connect_cb() connect to 12:34:38:0D:37:A1: Host is down (112)
