Fedora 41 + KDE + NVidia = not working after suspend

My laptop is a 2021 ASUS TUF Gaming F15, it has an AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with Radeon Graphics (16 CPUs) + NVidia GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU.

I like Linux, I really like how Fedora installs and works, but I want to use it as my main system since the programs I use at work are also available in both Windows and Linux.

But I’ve had a few issues, my laptop has an integrated Nvidia graphics card and I specifically want to use Fedora with KDE because it fits my workflow perfectly.

I started trying to use Fedora 40 KDE + Wayland as my main system but I had several problems, specifically the most visible one was that some parts of the KDE UI flickered, it was very strange, but in Fedora 41 KDE that problem was solved along with others and I really like how it’s working but there is one problem that still persists and I would like to learn how to solve it to continue moving forward with my attempt to make Fedora my main system.

The suspension problem occurs with the Nvidia Drivers that come by default in Fedora and with the non-free Nvidia Drivers.

I searched multiple places for similar problems and checked that I had NVreg_PreserveVideoMemoryAllocations=1 enabled but the problem still occurs.

I really like how Fedora has continued to improve and stabilize with Nvidia Drivers, I wish Linux was much more stable but I understand that it can cause some problems for now.

I would like to understand why this happens and learn how to fix it. I would appreciate it if anyone would like to help or offer their comments so I can continue searching and trying to fix it.

This sounds similar to a problem I experience with gnome. The not waking from sleep issue seems to come and go with kernel updates. I have never seen a clear explanation of what is causing it.
I recently created a post about this. I don’t think the desktop environment is the problem.

I understand that all these problems are related to the Nvidia Driver, will there be a version of the Driver that fixes these problems in Fedora?

I know that these problems will be completely fixed at some point and that Fedora is moving quickly but currently it is difficult to use it as the main system for my laptop with Nvidia.

Has nothing to do with Nvidia driver, I’m full AMD and having the same issue. Hopefully it gets resolved soon, I have been dealing with it since Fedora 41 beta came out.

This is problematic, it is the only current impediment I have to using Fedora as my main system, is there a way to communicate the problem to Fedora?
