Fedora 36 Workstation: Ethernet Adapter doesn't seem to work without restarting laptop

Hey there!

Currently, I run into weird problems with my ethernet LAN to USB-C adapter. When I plug it in, it does not recognize it and keeps being connected to the Wi-Fi.

If the error occurs, the network tab in my settings looks like this:

If it works, it just says “Wired”.

I figured that if I restart my laptop with the device plugged in, it works again. So I guess I just have to restart some driver o.s. after plugging it in, in order for it to work. But since I am a noobie, I don’t know how to translate this hypothesis into reality. Does somebody have an idea on how to fix this?

Best regards,
Sam!
