Fast touchpad scrolling in GNOME

Hi! I really don’t understand why touchpad scrolling is too fast in some apps like Chrome, Telegram and even in system gnome apps like native PDF-reader. I had same issue in Ubuntu, but there i changed “Scrolling Pixel Distance” an a problem disappeared. In Fedora, both in Wayland and X11 nothing changes, moreover, in wayland I just don’t know how to change this option. Please, i almost gave up and accepted. That’s weird, but in Firefox there are no problems with scrolling, but in Chrome “scrolling fix” add-ons don’t help.

It’s not the most optimal solution, but I usually manage global scroll speed with libinput-config from here. Setting scroll-factor=0.3 gives me an ok scroll speed in most applications.

Is there a ‘scroll speed’ setting in Gnome Control Panel?

Not for touchpads as far as I know. You could use libinput-config as mentioned, but it has to be built. I’d be happy to help if needed.

This page Adjust the speed of the mouse and touchpad

Says that touchpad sensitivity can be changed (if a touchpad is present).

EDIT: Oh! Or do you mean scroll-up or scroll-down speed - not touchpad sensitivity?
Looking it up, I can confirm there are many complaints about the lack of a touchpad scroll speed in Gnome. Sway WM has it though.

Yes, the pointer speed can be adjusted in Settings but scroll speed has to be adjusted via third party tools for now (as far as I’m aware).
